The CCT (Cisco Certified Technician) certifications serve as starting point for those who are interested in starting a career as a networking professional. There are two certifications available in this stream: CCT: Data Centre and CCT Routing and Switching.
The Associate level of Cisco Certifications deal directly with the foundation of the technology, e.g. the new CCNA certification deals with network installation, operations and troubleshooting; the new Cisco Certified DevNet Associate deals with developing and maintaining applications built on Cisco platforms; the Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate covers detecting cybersecurity breaches and efficiently countering security incidents.
The CCNA Concentration certifications e.g. CCNA Security which dealt with Security in the network; CCNA Collaboration which provided the basics of voice and video; CCNA Wireless which catered to Wireless requirements and deployment in the network; CCNA Data Centre certification which covered DC setup and configuration and the CCDA certification which taught the best practices of network design have been retired. For the sake of clarity think of the Associate Level as the foundation certification.
The Professional level certifications are advanced level certifications that exhibit higher expertise with networking skills. Each certification covers a unique disciple and advanced technology to fulfil the requirements of varying job roles. The CCNP Enterprise is most popular CCNP certification which covers enterprise networking solutions.
The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification is accepted worldwide as the most prestigious networking certification in the IT industry. The new CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification proves your skills with complex enterprise infrastructure solutions.
Cisco is a leading networking company and primary manufacturer of routers, switches, wireless and security equipment and technology. With the increasing use of Cisco technology products around the world, the demand for certified professionals who have undergone Cisco training and hold Cisco certifications is growing at an exponential pace.
